Nice to see someone who shares many of my hobbies. I live local, work even more local, homebrew and have a DR. How did the beer turn out?

Andy

Hi Andy! The beer turned out great.... :drinks: I hope you are planning on attending the National Homebrewers Big Brew day at the Calder Plaza on Saturday May 7th. StoneHouse Brewery (myself and my son-in-law) will be there in force with 14 different beers to sample. FREE! We also have our official SHB chef who has made two different barbecue sauces using our Imperial Rum Stout and DR650 Stout for use on the smoked pulled pork and smoked brisket sliders we will be serving attendees. FREE!

This event is totally FREE! (OK, you'll likely have to pay for parking)

I'd love to meet some of our West Michigan DRRiders members who might be able to make it to the event! :2_thumbsup:

:sorry: You missed a great event. Being that you are so close ( well, we actually brew at my daughter's house in Walker) we might be able to set up a private tasting... we don't have any 790 at this time but the DR650 stout is almost always on hand. Plus we have another batch of Imperial Rum Stout that should be getting close to being ready.... we have quite a few others styles that were not all drank up at the event. :drinks:

I tried smoking some salmon once. Made the papers all soggy; really hard to light!

Porters are really hard to smoke as well. Hard to find a bong with a big enough bowl. :s_laughat
