I know this is a DR650 site...but the forum is also called DRRiders so maybe this is a reasonable request. How about a couple sub-forums under Main Trail to support other machines in the DR Family. Here is what I was thinking:

- DRZ (400E, 400S, 400SM)
- DR250/350 (these two are very similar machines)
- DR200 (This one is optional in my opinion...I don't think it is a very popular machine but I could be wrong, after all it did just get modernized plastics)

I have to admit, I am a bit biased because I just picked up a clean, low-mileage DR350SE and I would rather not join yet another forum. Also, several members on here have either owned or still on these smaller machines.

So this was the original concept of this forum...

"A Dedicated Suzuki DR650 forum for DR650 riders to share their knowledge, experience and adventures!"

There are lots of forums out there for other machines. I'd like to keep this forum as it was originally conceived. :pardon:

In defence of RamMan4x4... the forum name is "DRRIDERS", not " DR650RIDERS".

When I joined (with my dr650) I assumed there would be sub sections for other DR models.

I'm not worried either way, I'm on Stormtrooper for my Wee-Strom and that forum has had to evolve from its original format for the DL1000 in to catering for the 650, the second gen 650, and now the second gen 1000 as well.

There are, however, already other forums that cater to the smaller DR's, as well as the DR Big, such as ADVrider and ThumperTalk for instance.

So... the site owner makes the rules and decisions. :notworthy:

Thanks for the support strom!

I do understand why keeping it limited to the 650 can be good thing...ADVRider and TT are great forums, but they're just too big for my tastes. This is probably the main reason not to expand this forum. Though the DR family of machines is relatively small and the number of those machines (other than the DRZ) still in use are dwindling so the chances of this place getting too big are pretty slim.

I dunno... :dunno:

The big forums can be hard to navigate.. but "google is your friend" as they say.

ADVrider dr350, or whatever other search term you want seems to work well enough.

Then you bookmark the pages so you can find them easily....

Gotta love modern technology and the interwebbie thing. :sarcastic:

Cheers,
Ock.

yep...I've found several good build threads using that same method. Though lots of good information still falls through the cracks. No worries though, I'll just be spending more time over there for a while.
