I was asked by a representative of Suzuki Motor Corp to remove the publicly available download links on my server to the shop manuals. I pleasantly obliged. :s_yes

Was wondering when that was going to happen...

I get the whole copyright thing and you have to protect the dealers so they can make money on service and all that, but in my opinion, this is just another Suzuki corporate bone-head move. They're so out of touch with who actually makes up the DR market segment it's not even funny. :old:

I am considering hosting it from my Public DropBox account, maybe, might affect my job and security clearance if I am not careful. Maybe create a new anonymous account...

I think the manual link on the DR650 zenseeker site still works...if you don't already have a copy of the manual, now would be a good time to get it before they pull it from all the sites.

I am sure if you did a search on http://thepiratebay.se/ Torrents site for a DR650 service manual, something might turn up.

That is just a guess of course, I would never do anything like that. :whistling:

The last thing I wanted was to cause an issue for our forum because of my hosting of the manual(s) on mxrob.com. It was a fairly easy decision. :pardon:

Plus they have plenty of staff attorneys ready to sue you so yeah, it's a no-brainer. Plead ignorance :dunno: and graciously comply with their "request". :notworthy: SUZUKI CORPORATE/LEGAL :diablo: :diablo: :diablo:
