Haven't ridden one, but looks to be perfect as a back up bike or a beginner's bike. Doubt it'd fit me very well though, since I'm relatively tall.
$6,850 ride away no more to pay in the state of Victoria in Australia though.

The wife and i both rode TU250's during our MSF class last year. Nice little machine... being fuel injected it started instantly when cold and you could take off smoothly and controlled at all times. The bike was extremely noobie friendly in all aspects. :good:

I was in the Suzuki shop the other day and they had one on the floor. Second time I have seen one. They are really cool little bikes. Reminds me of a small Triumph.

$3999 usd.
I would like to see them do a 650 that looks like this. Drop in the DR or Savage 650 in a larger frame. That would be sweet. :s_smile

I first saw a TU250 at the Long Beach Motorcycle Show in 08. Was real excited about it as one of the schools I work for could of easily bought 5 or 6 (before the economy went south), but was told, even though it was displayed in California at the show, it wasn't for sale in CA. We are still waiting here in California for these to get CARB approved. I can't believe it is taking so long, as it is fuel injected. We would love to start using these in our Basic Rider Course. One of the schools I coach for has 6 GZ250's, and although I am not into the cruiser style, I do prefer riding and maintaining these over the Kawasaki 125 Eliminators, the Honda Rebels, and even the Yamaha TW200's.The Suzuki is just more robust. BTW, the Royal Enfield was finally fuel injected a couple years ago, and it still took California almost 2 years to approve that.

Although California has all we have to deal with, you still can't beat the weather (at least in SoCal).

Nice looking retro bike brings the look of the old TS back to mind. Cool little machine, could have rode it during Suzuki's test ride days but was only interested in riding the DR 650 and the DRZ 400.

Great for a beginner or for someone not riding far from home.

I have been following the TU250 thread on ADV for a while, and I am very intrigued by these. I like the classic standard look...and the price...and I think I am one of those that thinks riding a slow bike fast is better that riding a fast bike slow. My only concern would be SoCal freeways...gotta have that little extra to get out of situations, and also getting out in front at stop lights after filtering, but it may be quick enough for this...? Regardless, I want one.

The TU is a awesome looking bike, I was reading about them before I bought my DR. They have killer gas mileage, like the perfect little cruiser to have for town. The only problem I would have with it, is the highways out here, the speed limits are all too high for it, I read that they start vibrating pretty bad at high speeds too, or else I would seriously consider getting one. And yeah, they do look like that Triumph Scrambler, ryde4ever, a 650 that looked just like that would be awesome!
