I use a collapsible ice chest just large enough for a 6 pack. Grab a gallon Ziploc storage bag, place beers inside, place ice in with beer and seal. Put the bag in collapsible ice chest. Beer stays cold and won't leak water all over your gear. :2_thumbsup:

:bad: beer on the rocks....that's heracy...my point was if your beer got warm you could cool it down rapidly by using the salt and ice trick.... A lot faster than just ice

Please video you attempting this.

Hmmm, I'd give this a try if I had another multimeter with a k type thermocouple, as I would prefer a side by side comparison
I don't drink anymore, but the roommate would definitely not object to ice cold beer.

May try it this weekend I have a two channel bluetooth thermometer with logging, we also have beer that may need to be cooled off, salt and ice.

Just make sure you do the process just as Beyond2wheel suggested. Dump a box of salt into the super thin ice bag, close the opening and then start shaking it around until you have sea water.

I have no issue with salt water having a lower freeze point and more surface area thus being able to cool the beverage more efficiently than ice cubes with lots of air space around them. Its the mechanics of his process that will be a monumental fail.

Beer goes in the creek, if I bring it at all. I find that a bit of bourbon or rye whiskey is easier to pack.

The Mexican method?

It`s easy- just like delivering pizzas!

Of course, if you drink a LOT of beer, you might want to move up to small appliance delivery methods...
