I'm in beautiful bayside Brisbane & a long way from any decent tracks. Running in a new 2013 DR on short weekend trips, but I'm getting some gear together for longer adventure rides. Looking at places like Monto/ Gayndah or St George/ Nindigully or Armidale NSW.

Great pub at Nindigully, free camping & there's fish in the river too. The pub sometimes throws on a recovery breakfast too if the night before was a big one.
But watch ya self if ya go to Mungindi, that town has only 2 pubs but also has 2 police stations, one of each on either side of the river.

The "gindi" isn't far from home.

NNSW up in the hills from Byron Bay... nice area and lots of tracks from all I have read. Still sorting my seat to make life bearable on the back my dr first before I start trails. More back country road rides around here that are excellent also.

Dayborokiwi, i lived in brissy for 3 years, some awesome trails around Mt Mee.

good roads around there as well, used to do the loop over Mt glorious to lake Somerset, kilcoy, Woodford and the awesome switchbacks up Mount Mee to your town.

Good times. :2_thumbsup:

Mount Mee lookout with the glasshouse in distance.(back when the DR was new.)

Auscanvet is just down the road from you, around Kobble creek from memory.
he is the BST magic master, definately worth looking up if you want to do some carb/exhaust mods.
