Saw this on one of the other forums. Gonna try and get up there for this one. Only 115 miles from home. This is a great area, with some really unique features. There is a really cool high country dune area ( google Walden Sand Dunes), some great forest roads and trails, and some really killer high country paved passes. It's only 60 miles from Steamboat Springs over Rabbit Ears pass. This would be a great excuse to get to the Northern Colorado/Southern Wyoming area and do some great riding! I grew up near this area and have explored lots of it, so if anybody's looking for ride ideas let me know, and I'll give you my two cents worth. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=670435

Spent some time in Steamboat a while ago...would love to have had my dualsport with me. Some gorgeous areas around there...take pics!
Side note...ever been out by Strawberry Park Hot springs? Went there with a girl as a sort of first date about 14yrs ago...she's now my wife!

I Elk hunt that area. Gould/Rand pass. Waldon CO. Very nice area. Lots of trails and BLM roads, Forrestry rouds.

 That is just south of where I hunt  at in Wyoming. Would be an awesome ride with incredible scenery. I may need to book some time aside for that.
